62" AMO 68# BEAR VINTAGE ARCHERY 1950's GRIZZLY BOW. Very accurate and powerful. Surprisingly easy to draw. Functions flawlessly, put arrows through the Grizzly this morning. This bow belongs to my uncle. He is 62 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 140 lbs and he has no problem with this bow and been using it in the Oregon Wilderness for years. Used both wood and aluminum arrows. Anywhere from 10-14 grains per pound of draw weight. My uncle has a 26 inch draw length and the bow has worked great for him at this power. The technique Fred Bear used to use was as heavy a bow as possible and pull to the corner of the mouth... even if your draw length was short. Power is reduced about 2-2.5 lbs for every inch of draw weight. Even at 63# draw this bow is capable of hunting everything in the Lower 48. And I am sure with a Sharp Broadhead and a well placed shot this bow will hold its own in Alaska. We are going to Riffle hunt this year for logistical reasons and we need to whittle down our bow collection. Have other vintage Fred Bear Bows... just not ready to give them up yet. However we are starting with this Grizzly. It has been a great bow. A lot of fun and very successful on the hunt. I am sure this could be a great target or collector bow as well. Whatever a person decides to do with the Grizzly, my hope is that it goes to a good home. Comes with a new string, knocking point and silencers... all from 3 Rivers Archery. Shipping to the lower 48 only please. Thank you, -James
